Police in Aurora are asking for the public’s help to solve the murder of a man who was discovered in his apartment Thursday morning.

Juan Gerardo Miranda-Hernandez, 28, was found in an apartment complex in the 17300 block of East Adriatic Drive, according to a release from Aurora police. The release states Miranda-Hernandez’s body was discovered by a family member, who then called police.

Aurora police responded at about 11 a.m. Thursday.

The Arapahoe County coroner’s office today ruled the death a homicide. Miranda-Hernandez died of a single gunshot wound to the chest, according to the coroner’s office.

Police are offering up to a $2,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the death of Miranda-Hernandez.
