A 2-acre brush fire that broke out near the Northridge recreation center in Highlands Ranch was brought under control about an hour after it was reported, according to Roland Seno, operations chief for Littleton Fire Rescue.
Seno said that in response to the fire, first reported at about 2:40 p.m., his department sent four engines, three brush trucks and 25 firefighters.
He said that no structures were damaged and no one was injured.
The fire was out by 3:42 p.m., he said.
