A car fire in Commerce City during the start of the rush hour this morning sparked curiosity in passersby and slowed traffic.
The fire started at about 7:15 a.m. in the 7700 block Quebec Parkway, said Lt. Dennis Moon, a Commerce City Police Department spokesman.
No one was injured in the incident and investigators believe the fire, which torched a Toyota Celica, was caused by mechanical problems, Moon said.
An investigation into the fire by the South Adams County Fire Protection District is ongoing.
