NEW YORK — The video game “Call of Duty: Black Ops” shattered entertainment records this week when it raked in $360 million in its first 24 hours on sale.
Activision Blizzard said the product sold 5.6 million units the day it went on sale. Its predecessor, “Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2,” sold 4.7 million copies to reap $310 million during its first day on sale last year.
“Black Ops” costs $60 and works on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Associated Press
