GREELEY — A private investigator initially charged with stalking a woman he was hired to follow in July will serve the next year on probation, the Tribune reports.
Timothy Allen Stitt, 42, Greeley, had been charged with two counts of felony stalking for following and placing a tracking device on the car of a woman he’d been hired to follow.
The Weld County district attorney’s office later dismissed the felony case and filed a misdemeanor harassment charge. Stitt pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor and was sentenced to serve one year of unsupervised probation and 24 hours of community service, the Tribune said.
