A small two-seat helicopter made a crash landing on the football field of Legacy High School in Broomfield Sunday afternoon.
North Metro Fire Rescue spokeswoman Wendy Forbes said that the helicopter took off from Erie Municipal Airport piloted by an adult male and carrying an adult male passenger. After having mechanical trouble in the air, the pilot managed to crash land the aircraft on the football field.
Forbes said neither man was injured, and that it was unclear where the two men were headed. Their identities have not been made public.
