Last week against Missouri, Kansas State receiver Aubrey Quarles had a career game: 133 yards on nine catches (both career highs) and a touchdown. The former Grandview High star leads the Wildcats with 562 yards on 41 catches with four TDs. It’s been a long road for Quarles, who started at Santa Rosa (Calif.) Junior College but missed most of his sophomore season there because of a broken collarbone. He came on strong in 2008 as a junior at K-State, then redshirted last year. Also on the Wildcats’ roster is former Lewis-Palmer grad Corey Adams. He has played every game as the longer snapper (46 in a row) and has been perfect on a combined 455 snaps for punts and field goals/PATs.
