Cam Newton, Auburn: With off-field issues swirling, the No. 2 Tigers play Friday against No. 10 Alabama. Newton has 3,335 yards of total offense (1,297 rushing, 2,038 passing).
Andrew Luck, Stanford: The only Heisman contender who played Saturday, Luck threw two touchdown passes and led eight scoring drives in a 48-14 rout of Cal. He was 16-of-20 passing for 235 yards and added 72 yards on the ground.
Kellen Moore, Boise State: In a Friday night game, Moore shook off an early interception and fumble to throw for 333 yards and four TDs in a 51-0 pounding of Fresno State.
LaMichael James, Oregon: The top-ranked Ducks had Saturday off and play Friday against No. 23 Arizona. James leads the nation with 1,422 yards rushing (158 per game).
