My Job: TV critic
What I like: Broadway musicals, great dramas and offbeat comedies on DVD, watching “Glee” (above) with my teenage daughter, music for running, and walking our two crazy terriers
What I want:
The BlackBerry PlayBook (the company’s version of the iPad), available next year.
“Finishing the Hat,” by Stephen Sondheim, an autobiographical book of collected songs and stories by the composer/lyricist, from “West Side Story” and “Company” to “Sunday in the Park With George” and “Sweeney Todd.” $21.94.
“Prime Suspect: Complete Collection” DVD set. Helen Mirren’s great character, Detective Chief Inspector Jane Tennison, in a brilliant series that set the standard for British police drama. $85.
“Gleek Gift Set With Journal” for the kiddo, complete first season plus two hours of special features. $46.99.
“The Larry Sanders Show,” all six seasons of Garry Shandling’s classic. “Hey, now!” The show that set the tone for later squirm-inducing, faux documentary-style comedies (“The Office,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm”) deserves continued study. $98.49.
