SILVERTHORNE, Colo.—Police have ruled the death of a Silverthorne woman a homicide after an autopsy determined she suffered blunt force trauma and drowned in the Blue River near her home.

Forty-one-year-old Stephanie Roller Bruner was reported missing Nov. 23 by her husband who said she didn’t return home after going out the night before. Her body was found days later.

Authorities say they are not releasing any additional information about the investigation.

Her family has said the mother of three was laid off from her job as an engineering technician for Summit County in October and filed for divorce Nov. 1.

Friends and family held a memorial service for Bruner on Thursday.
