ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Matt Donovan and Dustin Jackson scored, and goaltender Sam Brittain stopped 20 shots as the University of Denver hockey team skated to a 2-2 overtime tie with Alaska-Anchorage on Saturday night at Sullivan Arena.

Denver, which won 5-3 Friday night, moved to 12-5-3 and 9-3-2 in Western Collegiate Hockey Association play. Alaska-Anchorage is 5-10-3, 4-8-2.

After Jordan Kwas staked Alaska-Anchorage to 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 4:58 of the first period, Donovan answered with a goal from the slot at 13:45 on an assist from Luke Salazar.

Jackson scored off a Nick Shore pass to give the Pioneers a 2-1 lead at 2:10 of the second period. Anthony Maiani also assisted on the goal.

Mitch Bruijsten beat Brittain with a backhanded shot at 11:50 of the third period to make it 2-2 and force overtime.

Alaska-Anchorage outshot Denver 22-20 and went 1-for-4 on the power play. The Pioneers were 0-for-3 with the man-advantage.

Denver returns to action against Northern Michigan on Dec. 31-Jan. 1.
