All lanes of Interstate 25 at Alameda are closed tonight while the Colorado Department of Transportation works on a new overpass.
“This work was originally scheduled for later in the week, but we moved it up to take advantage of the good weather before cold temperatures return,” said CDOT Project Engineer Terrie McKinney in a statement. “The deck pour will take one night to complete and this will be the last major construction activity until after the holidays.”
All lanes of the highway were closed at 11 p.m. and are scheduled to reopen at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Major delays are expected and alternate routes are advised.
