Getting your player ready...

On a weekend when you have plenty to do, KB Home’s Nathan Crandall will hand you a one-pound box of Sees Candy today, to get you to see a sweet deal waiting on the last four homes at Canyon View, less than a mile via Tucker Gulch Trail from Golden’s old West shopping district. Two of those sites can take ranches; and as a close-out special KB Home will build you a walk-out at no charge – starting from as low as $389,995.

On this promontory site that looks across to Mt. Galbraith and the gates of Clear Creek Canyon, KB has zipped through its last offerings at Canyon View at the rate of three homes a month. Last week they were moving the construction trailer off of the two final lots that look up the canyon – either one of which could take an ‘Antero’ ranch, sized 1,785 feet. The free walk-out would basically double the potential area – and if you want that walk-out finished now with a guest suite and lounge/bar, KB will do that at around $27/foot extra.

“And if you really need space,” says Crandall, “we can accommodate that, too.” You’ll tour a larger ‘Ellingwood’ ranch (2,584 feet) – along with two large-family two-story homes that are set for move-in at the first of the year, one contemporary, one traditional. The latter is a ‘Grays’ plan, 2,840 square feet, with four bedrooms, big upstairs loft and upstairs laundry room, and a main-floor study. It has big covered porch and eat-out covered deck; hardwood throughout the main floor, a stainless kitchen with 42-inch maple cabs and lush granite tops, at a back view of Mt. Galbraith.

“The Rocky Mountains start right across the street,” Crandall points out; giving residents quick access to bike routes up Golden Gate Canyon, North Table Mountain or Lookout Mountain, and onto tamer routes down Tucker Gulch into downtown. “Some of our families are really outdoor oriented; others hang out and enjoy the view,” he adds, noting that all of them are taking advantage of Golden’s made-over downtown scene, with its popular bars and restaurants.

You’ll see both of those final sites and their views, and a variety of plans you could make work, all with the free walk-out. On all of the final four homes, including the two quick-deliveries, you’ll find a high level of standard finishes, including hardwood kitchen and entry floors, convection oven and 42-inch cabinets. The Sees candy offer is one-per family, while they last. From either Sixth Avenue Freeway or Golden’s 58 Freeway, continue west to Highway 93 (toward Boulder) and head north 1.4 mi. to Golden Gate, then right (east) and right again.
