LAKEWOOD — A 37-year-old Littleton driver was killed early Monday when he slammed into a traffic-signal pole on South Kipling Parkway, Lakewood police said.

Alamo Onak was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer southbound on Kipling when the car hit a raised crosswalk median at the intersection with West Girton Drive, police said.

The Blazer then hit the traffic light head-on at the southwest corner. Onak, the only person in the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene at about 3:40 a.m. Toxicology reports for any drugs or alcohol are pending.
