Travel on Interstate 70 is expected to be heavy today because of the extended holiday weekend and ski traffic. Saturday saw periodic stops for eastbound travelers on I-70 at the Eisenhower Tunnel beginning just before 3 p.m. “due to extreme traffic congestion,” CDOT stated.
