GOLDEN, Colo.—A 41-year-old house cleaner has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for kidnapping and sexually assaulting an Evergreen woman who was one of his clients.
The Jefferson County district attorney’s office said Joel Michael Herrin of Kittredge was also sentenced Monday to five years of parole.
Herrin pleaded guilty in September to kidnapping and attempted sexual assault. Authorities say he was cleaning an Evergreen home in December 2009 when he knocked a woman to the floor, handcuffed her feet and hands and took her to his home.
The woman’s ex-husband called police when she failed to pick up their children.
