Broncos fans looking for Denver to move up in the draft to the No. 1 spot in order to snare Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck may be out of luck.
Carolina owner Jerry Richardson addressed the media Tuesday and didn’t sound like someone willing to make a trade out of the top spot.
Asked about the No. 1 pick, Richardson said, “We’re looking for someone that can be a top- flight player and hopefully make us a better team. And I have no doubt if you have the first pick, we’re likely to do that.”
Luck, who led his team to an Orange Bowl win Monday night, has not yet made his intentions known about declaring for the NFL draft.
