GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—An influential lobbying group for western Colorado interests is looking for a new director after Gov.-elect John Hickenlooper named Reeves Brown to head one of his departments.

Brown was executive director of Club 20 for 10 years before he was appointed this week as head of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs. Club 20 Chairman Jeff Comstock tells the Daily Sentinel in Grand Junction that he expects the executive director position to be posted later this week.

Former congressman Scott McInnis of Grand Junction says he would be willing to fill the post on an interim basis. McInnis lost the Republican gubernatorial primary to Dan Maes in November.

The nonprofit was started more than a half century ago to lobby for the region’s interests.
