Sean Penn says he lost half of everything he had in his divorce from Robin Wright.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter about his charity work in Haiti, Penn explained that he spent nearly all of 2010 in the earthquake-ravaged country because he wanted to help rebuild it.

But in the midst of his explanation, the actor revealed the financial outcome of his divorce.

“I didn’t have commitments, except for way in the future; I had nothing pressing,” he told the publication. “I got practical issues. I had just got taken for one half of everything I had in the divorce, so it’s not like I don’t have to work.”

The couple, whose 14-year divorce was finalized in July after years of break-ups-and-make-ups, has a daughter, 19-year-old Dylan, and a son, 17-year-old Hopper.

Despite the tragedies he witnessed daily in the Caribbean country, the “Milk” star said his broken family ended up having a bigger impact on him.

“A much more profound change in life for me personally was not being able to raise my son in a whole family through high school,” he said – according to THR – “bitterly.”

(In August 2009, Wright, 44, told More magazine, “I have no regrets. I, we, have two amazing children we raised together.” A rep for the actress has not yet responded to a request for comment.)

Penn is feeling estranged from others, too.

“Let’s face it,” he declared, “I’m a person that feels pretty alienated from the rest of the world and never felt understood by anyone.”

And the actor has no immediate plans to give up his volunteer work in Haiti, which was initially intended to be a two-week stint.

“There’s a great thing Paul Newman said about his long marriage,” he recalled. “‘As it turns out, we still love each other.’ That’s how I feel: ‘As it turns out, I’m still here.'”

Michael Douglas appears to be on the comeback after chemotherapy and radiotherapy to battle throat cancer.

The “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” star was spotted working out at Equinox on 76th and Columbus, the New York Post reports.

“Most staff and club members kept a respectful distance,” a source told the Post. “But a few wished him well, which he said he appreciated.”

A smiling Douglas also seemed to be in good spirits when he was spotted walking his family dog, Figaro, in Central Park. Douglas says he’ll learn this month if his cancer has gone into remission.

While EA Sports has stayed firm as a sponsor of Tiger Woods, the picture of the disgraced golfer does not appear on the upcoming box cover of the video game starring him.

The image of the former world Number 1, who failed to win a single tournament in 2010, won’t appear on the box cover of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12, available on Wii, Xbox360 and Playstation3 consoles. His image had appeared on the previous Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 game box.

But while most of the box art for the new version does not include Woods, EA Sports president Peter Moore denied it was due to any desire to distance the company from the golfer, according to London’s Daily Mail.

‘If the insinuation is “is this a reflection of EA Sports backing away from its relationship that goes back 13 years”, that’s not the case whatsoever,’ he said.

The video game of the PGA Tour 12 feature the Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. A version without the Masters will be available for the iPhone and iPad.

The video game publisher said it will begin selling Tour 12 worldwide on April 1, two days after it debuts in North America.

EA Sports, along with Nike Inc., has been strong in its support of Woods despite his past sexual escapades.

After six Oscar nominations and two wins, everyone wants your say on what flick will hit big. Robert De Niro will serve as the president of the Cannes Film Festival Jury for its 64th annual run. The highly respected actor is already a co-founder of the Tribeca Film Festival, but that did not stop the powers at Cannes from Landing the star, currently leading the box office with the third installment of the Meet the Parents franchise, Little Fockers.

“The Cannes Film Festival is a rare opportunity for me as it is one of the oldest and one of the best in the world,” Robert said in a very long statement, via the New York Times. “I have an increased appreciation for the jury, who serve, undertaking an important role in choosing films that are represented in the world of film at its highest level, and these types of festivals help connect the international film community and have a lasting cultural impact.”
