Two people were injured when a Jeep ran off Golden Gate Canyon Road into a deep ravine about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Trooper Nate Reid, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.
The Jeep ended up 150 feet off the road, Reid said, and rescuers used ropes to reach the man, woman and child who were riding inside. The man, seriously injured, and woman, with moderate injuries, were taken to St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver, Reid said. The child was not hurt.
The wreck happened near the intersection with Bear Road, about 4 miles west of Golden.
