DENVER—A former prosecutor who was named acting district attorney earlier this month will stay on through next year.
Gov. John Hickenlooper announced Friday that Dan Hotsenpiller will stay in the 7th Judicial District, where former district attorney Myrl Serra resigned after facing criminal charges.
Serra allegedly demanded sexual favors from women in his office. Serra says he is innocent.
Hotsenpiller was a general practice attorney in Montrose. He earlier worked in the U.S. attorney’s office in Grand Junction.
