A couple of free home-improvement workshops are offered, including “How to Tile a Floor” at 10:15 a.m. and “From Tired to Trendsetting: Updating Your Cabinets” at 11:15 a.m. No reservations or supplies needed. Winter reading Head to the Smoky Hill Library this weekend for a two-day sale of used paperbacks. Library volunteers have sorted through thousands of paperbacks, which are available from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Most paperbacks are priced at 50 cents.
