Two people were hit by a sedan in a Lakewood intersection Monday evening. A man sustained a leg injury and the woman was unresponsive, Lakewood police spokeswoman Bonnie Martin said.
The driver of the sedan has not yet been charged, while police investigate what led to the collision at West Colfax Avenue and Lamar Street just before 6 p.m.
The victims’ ages, names and condition were not released. No information about the driver was released.
“I know they were in the intersection, but I don’t know if they were in the crosswalk,” Martin said.
The location is in a busy shopping area, near several shops and restaurants, including Casa Bonita, in the JCRS Shopping Center.
