Royal Dutch Shell Plc has submitted the first offshore oil exploration plan that responds to U.S. safety and environmental requirements imposed after BP PLC’s oil spill last year, the Interior Department said.
The plan is for three proposed exploratory wells in about 2,950 feet of water 130 miles off the Louisiana coast.
