BROOMFIELD — A 1½-hour standoff between Broomfield police and a man who barricaded himself in a motor home ended without violence this afternoon.
The standoff began around noon, when police and the SWAT team were called to the 15400 block of Mountain View Circle, responding to a report of a man who barricaded himself inside a motor home. The man was taken into custody shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Police have not yet provided any more details, including if the man was armed or if anyone else is inside the motor home.
A barricade was set up on Spruce Street, which turns into Mountain View Circle to leave an open route for emergency vehicles.
The standoff happened in the Spruce Meadows neighborhood in northern Broomfield, a rural-residential area with large homes and sprawling lots.
