The Colorado football program plans to play its April 9 spring game at night under the Folsom Field lights for the first time in history.

Call it the first big idea put forth by first-year coach Jon Embree, who said he had a handful of reasons for making the suggestion.

He originally announced, a little prematurely, the game would be played at night several weeks ago during an interview with a local radio station. At that point, campus officials were still considering the idea but they have since approved it.
