Sunshine this morning in Denver has given way to a gray, steely sky and a steady snow fall.
After days of sub-zero readings, Denver’s weather forecast today calls for a high temperature of 33 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
At 1 p.m. the temperature in Denver had climbed to 27 degrees. Weather service forecasters call for a chance of snow today in the Front Range foothills and along the Palmer Divide.
Temperatures today elsewhere in the state should range from the teens in the mountains to the lower 30s in northeastern Colorado.
Snow accumulation, if any, should be less than half an inch in the city. The overnight low in Denver should bottom out at about 17 degrees.
In Vail today skies will be partly sunny and the high temperature should top out at about 21 degrees.
Light snow is expected to fall in the north and central mountain valleys on Friday and Saturday.
