
Meet the dino.
The Washakie Museum and Cultural Center in Worland, Wyo., has on display the only Diplodocid Sauropod from North America. Through February, visitors can view this dinosaur skeleton, which is the most well-preserved member of the Diplodocid family ever discovered. Nicknamed Apollo, this dinosaur is more than 82 feet long. While at the museum, visitors can also learn about the history of the area. or 307-347-4102

The Valentine’s Day Torchlight Parade & Fireworks Display in Steamboat Springs will take place at 7 p.m. Feb. 14. This on-snow parade is lit only by torches and ends with a fireworks display best viewed from Gondola Square. This event is free to the public. or 970-879-6111

The 20th Annual Valentine’s Day Mountaintop Matrimony ceremony at Loveland Ski Area is a tradition where new couples can get married and married couples renew their vows in a mass wedding ceremony at The Ptarmigan Roost Cabin. The Honeymooner’s Apres Party for all participants and their guests follows the ceremony at the Loveland Basin and features music, wedding cake, spirits and a best-dressed contest. Uphill, downhill.
The Highlands Inferno race at the Aspen Highlands will take place Feb. 26. Competitors race uphill to the top of Highland Peak, then race down the middle of the Bowl. There will be five categories: male and female competitive, male and female recreational, and juniors (ages 12-17). Registration is $30 and includes a T-shirt, cash prizes and a raffle entry for the prizes at the award party afterward. or 970-544-3011
