Through May. Have a hopping good time at “Frogs: A Chorus of Colors,” the new interactive exhibit at The Wildlife Experience. Visitors can get up close and personal with more than 15 species of these vocal amphibians decked out in brilliant shades of orange, blue and red, and representing their natural habitats around the globe. Ongoing. Looking for something a little dangerous yet fun to spice up Valentine’s Day? Consider a class where you’ll learn to make a handcrafted knife at the Cripple Creek District Museum. Hands-on classes about 19th-century knife-making — just like those used by early mountain men and miners — by David M.H. Smith, an artist who specializes in metals and historic preservation. Three-hour sessions are held Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for $50, which includes instruction, materials and museum admission.
