LOCHBUIE, Colo.—Investigators say a man whose frozen body was found wrapped in a blanket in Weld County suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
The body was found Friday morning under a bridge three miles east of Lochbuie. Sheriff’s officials say it was dumped there sometime in the last seven to 10 days.
KMGH-TV reports an autopsy completed Saturday revealed the body was that of a Hispanic man around 30 years old.
The man has not yet been identified, but fingerprints were submitted to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the FBI.
Investigators say the man was 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed 140 pounds. He had well-manicured facial hair and two tattoos—a grim reaper on his left forearm and a wooden cross reading “Bendgo” on his right.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call investigator Fred Walker at 970-356-4015, extension 2855.
