BOULDER — A jury has convicted a 27-year-old Longmont man accused of driving drunk and killing one of his passengers and injuring five others when he crashed into a tree.

Noah Thomas faces 14 to 42 years in prison when he is sentenced in April. A Boulder County jury convicted him Friday of vehicular homicide and five counts of vehicular assault. Thomas’ first trial, in October, ended in a mistrial.

Prosecutors accused Thomas of leaving the scene of the June 2007 crash and moving one of the injured passengers to the driver’s seat. The crash killed Jeffrey Turner, 25.
