JONESBORO, Ark. — Arkansas State’s defense held Denver to 13 first-half points and the Red Wolves went on to an easy 60-35 win over the Pioneers on Saturday night.

Donald Boone scored 10 points to lead Arkansas State (13-13, 7-4), now 11-0 at home this season and just a half-game behind Denver in the Sun Belt’s West Division. He was the only player to score in double figures for the Red Wolves.

Chris Udofia led Denver (11-12, 7-3) with 11 points and nine rebounds. The Pioneers never led in the game and made just four shots in the first half.

Colorado Mines 65, Metro State 48

GOLDEN — Sean Armstrong scored 28 points to lead the Orediggers (18-3, 14-3 RMAC) over the Roadrunners (17-4, 14-3). The win moved Colorado Mines into a tie with Metro State for first place in the conference.

Armstrong, who fell two points shy of tying his career high, hitting 8-of-11 from the floor and 12-of-15 at the line.

Metro State shot a season-low 33.3 percent from the floor, and the Orediggers finished at a 46.8 percent. Brandon Jefferson led Metro State with 10 points off the bench, and Jonathan Morse scored nine points and had five rebounds.

Colorado Christian 58, Regis 45

LAKEWOOD — Chris O’Neal scored 14 points to lead the Cougars (7-13, 6-11) to a win over the Rangers (6-15, 3-14). Lance Korell had 16 points for Regis.

Utah 55, Air Force 44

AIR FORCE ACADEMY — Despite the fifth double-double of the year for Dymond James, the Falcons (7-15, 2-7 MWC) lost to the Utes (12-11, 5-4).

Trailing 25-21 at the half, Air Force started the second half strong, outscoring Utah 8-2 in the first four minutes, but Iwalani Rodrigues went on a 12-0 run for the Utes, putting them up for good.

Wyoming 74, Colorado State 55

FORT COLLINS — Aubrey Vandiver notched her eighth double-double of the season, scoring a career-high 35 points with 11 rebounds to lead the Cowgirls (17-5, 7-2) over the Rams (12-10, 5-4).

The win gave Wyoming the season sweep over Colorado State and ended the Rams’ three-game winning streak.

Colorado State, who had four players score in double digits, was led by Kim Mestdagh’s 18 points and three steals.

Portland State 67, Northern Colorado 60

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Bears (13-10, 8-2 Big Sky) snapped a seven-game winning streak, falling to the Vikings (13-9, 6-3).

Northern Colorado was led by Lauren Oosdyke, who scored 16 points, and D’shara Strange, who added 11. The seven-game streak was tied for the fifth-longest in school history.

Arkansas State 62, Denver 53

JONESBORO, Ark. — Kaetlyn Murdoch scored a game-high 23 points and added nine rebounds for the Pioneers (13-10, 5-5 SBC), who rallied but fell to the Red Wolves (12-12, 5-6).

Denver struggled in the first half, shooting 12.5 percent from the field and scoring only 10 points, eight of which were by Murdoch. The Pioneers rebounded in the second half, outscoring Arkansas State 43-35, but the 17-point halftime deficit was too large to overcome.

Metro State 64, Colorado Mines 54

GOLDEN — Trailing by one at halftime, the Roadrunners (20-1, 16-1 RMAC) outscored the Orediggers (7-15, 3-14) 38-27 in the second half to win their fifth straight game.

Alyssa Benson led Metro State with 11 points off the bench, hitting 3-of-5 from behind the 3-point line and 2-of-3 at the free-throw line. Stephanie Fogle was Colorado Mines’ top scorer, finishing with 16 points.

Colorado Christian 73, Regis 68, OT

LAKEWOOD — Christina Whitelaw scored 15 points and Brittany Long added 12 as the Cougars (14-6, 13-4) defeated the Rangers (8-13, 7-10) in overtime.

It was the second straight overtime game for Regis, who defeated Colorado Mines in extra time Friday night.

Down by 12 at the half, the Rangers scored 35 points in the second half to force overtime, but fell short as Colorado Christian outscored Regis 9-4 in the extra session.

Lauren Luebbe led the Rangers with 26 points.
