LOCHBUIE, Colo.—A frozen body found wrapped in a blanket under a Weld County bridge has been identified as a 23-year-old Henderson man.

Undersheriff Margie Martinez said Monday that the body found last week three miles east of Lochbuie was that of Adrian Tavera-Avalos. An autopsy showed that he died from a blow to the head.

His death is being investigated as a homicide.

Tavera-Avalos was identified through fingerprints after his family contacted authorities.
