DENVER—Denver police say a man shot himself in the head after he tried but failed to hold up a store.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson told Denver’s KMGH-TV that the man walked into a woman’s boutique in the tony Cherry Creek neighborhood on Monday just before 11 a.m. He said the clerk fled and the man then shot himself.
The unidentified man was taken to the hospital.
