A woman crossing the street was hit by a school bus this morning.
A Denver Public Schools bus was making a left-hand turn near East Evans Avenue and South Dahlia Street when it hit a woman in the crosswalk, according Sonny Jackson, spokesman for Denver Police.
The woman, who is in her 50s, fell to the ground, was alert and responsive when she was transferred to Denver Health Medical Center, Jackson said.
There were no children onboard the bus, according to Kristy Armstrong, spokeswoman for Denver Public Schools.
An investigation is underway to determine fault, Jackson said.
