Two days later, Denver police are still trying to figure out what caused a man to enter a Cherry Creek North women’s boutique and kill himself.
“His motivation truly may have died with him,” police spokesman Sonny Jackson said today.
He said investigators are still piecing the case together.
The Denver Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released the man’s name. Investigators were still trying to locate his son, chief deputy coroner Michelle Weiss-Samaras said this afternoon.
The stranger walked in the Alicia, The Boutique at 3035 E. Third St. at about 10:30 a.m. Monday. He showed the woman working inside a pistol and she ran from the shop.
When police arrived the man had shot himself in the head.
