Getting your player ready...

Height: 6-foot-2.

Weight: 155 pounds.

Age: 17. Born: Dec. 28, 1993, in Denver.

High school sport: Swimming, 10-time state champion, two-time runner-up (2011 champion in Class 5A 100-yard freestyle and 200 free relay; runner-up in 50 free and 400 free relay; 2010 champion in 500 free and 200 individual medley, and 200 medley and 400 free relays; 2009 champion in 50 free and 100 backstroke, 200 IM and 400 free relays).

Grade-point average: 3.8.

Class: Junior.

My favorite subject: Pre-calculus honors.

My favorite athlete: Paul Stastny.

My favorite team: Avalanche.

What I listen to: Country and rap.

The best things on my training table: Chipotle, Noodles and Co., and Panda Express.

Premeet ritual: I do ritualistic stretching before every race.

Time management tip: School comes first. If I have to miss practice, I do. But I also take advantage of off periods to get work done. Also, sleeping’s important. I use the rest of the time to get homework done.

Planned career: FBI agent; considering Georgia, Arizona and Texas, also may look at Cal-Berkeley and Stanford.

My family: Parents Teresa and Dave, sister Loren.

I would love to visit: Rome or Australia.

What high school sports mean to me: High school is definitely more of a team and club is individual and about you specifically. High school sports have taught me to work as a team and to push yourself. It’s nice to do something together instead of for yourself.
