COLORADO SPRINGS — Tyler Johnson scored the game- winning goal in the third period as Colorado College beat Minnesota State 2-1 on Saturday night to earn a split of their Western Collegiate Hockey Association series.

Johnson broke a 1-1 tie with a goal at 10:40 of the third period.

Josh Thorimbert had 32 saves for the Tigers (16-15-1, 10-12-0), and Austin Lee stopped 28 shots for the Mavericks (13-13-6, 7-13-4).

AIR FORCE ACADEMY — Niagara’s Ryan Rashid scored at 2:54 of overtime to give the Purple Eagles an Atlantic Hockey Association win.
