A man getting into his vehicle was hit by gunfire early this morning in a drive-by shooting in Colorado Springs.

The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. at the Hill Park Apartments, 310 Murray Blvd., in the parking lot, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department blotter.

Police said the victim was shot in the “legs” by someone firing from a pickup truck.

The suspect, or suspects, fled in a “full-size” truck, possibly silver or green.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, police said.

A motive in the shooting was not released.
