JUNEAU, Alaska — The Alaska Senate has unanimously passed a bill clarifying the procedure for counting write-in votes following the hotly contested race in which Sen. Lisa Murkowski ran as a write-in candidate. The bill says a write-in vote is valid even if a voter misspells a candidate’s name — an issue in last year’s race.
