SALT LAKE CITY — Meetings are planned during the next two weeks in three Utah counties on a proposal to build a 725-mile electricity transmission line from Wyoming to southern Nevada.
The Deseret News reported Monday that the federal Bureau of Land Management and the Energy Department’s Western Area Power Administration are studying the environmental effects of 2-mile wide corridors for the $3 billion TransWest Express project. TransWest Express is a subsidiary of Denver-based Anschutz Corp.
