Arapahoe Community College has received a $463,000 grant to fund need-based scholarships for students pursuing biology, chemistry, physics and math.

The money, provided by the National Science Foundation, will allow ACC to offer $2,000 scholarships to 25 students each semester for the next four years.

To qualify, students must be enrolled full-time in a “STEM-related” degree program. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

A scholarship advisory team will also consider financial need, academic achievement, a letter explaining their interest and a recommendation.

For more information about the program, e-mail ACCSTEMScholars@arapahoe.edu or call Nia Bauer at 303-797-5713.
