WASHINGTON — The U.S.-incorporated unit of European Aeronautic Defence & Space has knocked down its price offer in a bid to win a $35 billion refueling-tanker contract from the U.S. Air Force.
EADS North America chairman Ralph Crosby told reporters Wednesday the company “did in fact revise our proposal and our price.”
Crosby declined to put an exact number on the lower bid.
