Denzel Washington and Chris Pine star as dedicated and likable railroad workers in “Unstoppable,” now on DVD. The story of a runaway train headed for disaster is inspired by actual events. PG-13.
2 plus 2 equals . . . um . . .
“Waiting for Superman,” also on DVD, is the eye-opening documentary by Davis Guggenheim about current failures in the American education system, particularly in big cities. It follows a handful of kids and their families through a heartbreaking system that discourages academic potential, while simultaneously offering anecdotes for improvement. PG.
