“Hall Pass,” starring Jason Sudeikis and Owen Wilson, is about two guys given permission by their wives to take a week off from marital commitment — only to have their wives decide that what’s good for the gander might be even better for the goose. R.

In “Drive Angry,” an angry father (Nicolas Cage) escapes from . . . hell (of all places) . . . and tracks down the thugs who killed his daughter and kidnapped his grandbaby. Fast cars and lots of shooting pave the way. R.

He’s in for a wild ride
Robert Downey Jr. plays a guy just trying to make it home in time for his wife’s “Due Date,” out on DVD, when he gets bumped from his flight. The film’s hero hits even more speed bumps when he agrees to share a ride with Ethan Tremblay, who is played by Zach Galifianakis. R.
Dying to feel the love
The all-star cast for the folksy film “Get Low,” also on DVD, includes Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek and Bill Murray. Duvall plays a 1930s Tennesee hermit who throws his own rambuctious funeral party — while still alive so he can enjoy it. Based on true events. PG-13.
