Firefighters from three volunteer departments extinguished a large fire that destroyed a barn and two garages, authorities say.
The fire did not harm animals or injure any persons, said Capt. Louie Perea of the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department.
Volunteer firefighters from Bennett, Byers and Strasburg responded to the fire at 1600 S. County Road 137. The fire was out within an hour.
“The barn is a complete loss,” Perea said.
Sheriff’s deputies will investigate the cause of the fire, he said. It is not know what sparked the fire.
