A 23-year-old Greeley man was shot in the chest early Sunday morning and remained in stable condition, said Lt. Carl Alm of the Greeley Police Department.
The man, whose name was not released, was riding with friends in an SUV when they stopped at a fast-food restaurant off 10th Street. Others in an older white Cadillac, believed to be a 1994 model, followed the SUV, and when the SUV pulled into a mobile home park in the 200 block of North 35th Avenue, those in the Cadillac fired several shots into the SUV.
The man was struck in the chest. Officers responded to a 1:58 a.m. call and found blood and shell casings. North Colorado Medical Center staff then notified police that the shooting victim had arrived at the hospital.
