No, Lucy, you can’t be in the show, but today is Desi Arnaz’s 94th birthday. Known on-screen as Ricky Ricardo, the frustrated Cuban band-leader saddled with a wacky wife’s misadventures, Arnaz (who died in 1986) was known off screen for his sharp business instincts. Mojitos!

Ingredients
2 teaspoons sugar
4 sprigs fresh mint
1 lime, halved
2 ounces light rum
Club soda
Directions
Muddle sugar and mint in beer mug. Squeeze both halves of lime into glass, leaving one hull in the mixture. Add rum, stir, and fill with ice. Top with soda. Garnish with mint.
