Colorado today announced its Sept. 10 home football game will be against California, but will not count as a Pac-12 Conference game for either team.
The game will give Colorado five home games, all against Pac-12 opponents, including Oct. 1 against Washington State, Oct. 22 against Oregon, Nov. 5 against Southern California, and Nov. 12 against Arizona.
Colorado and Utah officially join the future Pac-12 this summer.
In other news:
Both Buffaloes teams could qualify for the NCAA Tournament by winning their respective Big 12 Conference tournaments, although that would seem a longshot.
The games are not a double-header. Tickets will be sold separately and the arena will be cleared out between games.
Although, the school announced the men’s game has sold out. It’s the fifth sell out this season for the men’s team, a record for Coors Events Center since it opened in 1979.
