MADISON, Wis. — Goals from Craig Smith, Patrick Johnson and Justin Schultz helped Wisconsin beat Colorado College 3-1 on Saturday and snap a seven-game winless streak in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Smith’s goal was short-handed at 1:57 of the second period. Johnson’s goal at 6:46 was the game-winner for the Badgers (20-14-4, 12-14-3 WCHA). Wisconsin was 1-for-7 on the power play.

Archie Skalbeck had the only goal for the Tigers (19-16-3, 13-13-2), who beat Wisconsin 3-2 on Friday.

Scott Gudmandson made 33 saves for Wisconsin. Josh Thorimbert made 22 for CC.
